New Zealand. A road trip around Aotearoa. My steed and I alighted the big silver bird in Auckland. After procuring a map, I forged up through Northland to the top. (while swerving around dead possums and hobbits in the road.) Then back down to the sulfuric airs of Rotorua, and onto LakeTaupo and Wellington. Crossing the strait via ferry, I rolled south along the coast before turning inland to Queenstown for a hike up a mountain and a leap off a bridge. Then back to the coast to Dunedin and Christchurch. And it’s true about biking NZ – All the hills go down and there’s always a strong tailwind. The musical accompaniment is Allegretto by Bond, wrapped up with Vivaldi’s Concerto in G.
